Hi all

I spent my lunch hour today at Lake Hood, Ashburton. Interesting species recorded were:

Pukeko – up to 70 birds in surrounding farm fields.

SIPO – a pair foraging on a grassy field, the first sighting of this species in nearly 3 months.

Black-fronted Dotterel – a high count of 13 birds feeding […]
