Little Egret showing well at the southern end of the lake. Viewable from the main rd. Hudsonian Godwit found by Andrew Crossland today. Also found by Andrew a White-winged black Tern at Bromley ponds From Ailsa Howard on Facebook: “Here is a very unusual visitor. As part of the Hutton’s Flysafe week crashlanded birds are being brought into the “Hub” by the Kaikoura Community and researches alike. On Sat morning Ted went out to pick up a bird had been phoned in from the local supermarket, and realised […] Albatross Encounter have reported seeing another Grey-headed Albatross off Kaikoura on Sunday 13th March. This is only the second one they’ve recorded in 17 years of their operations there. Single birds discovered on private land so sorry no access. Heres a blocker! First live record of a Bulwers Petrel in New Zealand from North Brighton Beach yesterday 22 January. Found by a member of the public in the surf – under care in Christchurch today. Hi, All sorry it’s been so long in posting info.
The site is now back and will be informing everyone who wants to know about birds in the christchurch area.
We have lods of data space now which was issue in the past.
